Pallithura Youth hood is the precious gift of God. KCYM (Kerala Catholic Youth Movement) consists of a group of young boys and young girls between the 15 to 35 years of age. Spiritual activities- We get opportunities to attend retreats and seminars which help us to grow spiritually. On feast days and other special days we take initiatives to prepare for holy mass and liturgical services in our parish; eg, Christmas, Lenten services, parish feasts etc. We also take imitative to conduct pilgrimages to various places like Kurisumala, Vallarida, etc.

 

Other Social activities- Functioning of Blood bank cell, Visit to the aged home and orphanages, Juvenile home etc. are our major concerns. Occasionally we visit central jail, mental hospital, Cancer centre etc. we also worked together to stop the alcohol, drugs, pan masala etc in order to concretize the people we conducted street plays, and dramas. Occasionally we clean the surrounding of the parish cemetery, Roads, Church compounds etc. Personality and Talent development programmes- Every year youth of the parish take part in the sports and arts competition which was conducted in our parish and in the diocese. On feast day of our parish one day is kept for ‘youth day’. On that day all the youth actively participate in the liturgical services and a cultural programme will be performed by all the youth, on this occasion.
