In 1960, Trivandrum Social Service Society (T.S.S.S.) was established to uplift the backward community of the diocese of Trivandrum. A unit of TSSS is active in this parish too. The unit activities cover various areas of life: social, educational, cultural, economical and political etc. Taking active part in the archdiocesan programmes and involving for the over all development of the people, the unit has proved itself strong in the parish. Today, the integral development of the community has become the goal of our unit activities.

 

For the parish level unit formation, two persons - one male and one female who have completed 18 years of age- are elected from each B.C.C. unit. Thus the 54 elected members from 27 B.C.C. units come together and they elect among them the office bearers such as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. And ex-officio the parish priest becomes the President. The term of the elected unit is for two years. The general body meeting takes place once in two months and the executive body meeting in every month. The secretary of the unit becomes the member of the Parish Council.
